Parenting Through Loss: Supporting Surviving Children with Compassion and Connection – Return to Zero
February 12 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Parenting after pregnancy or infant loss brings unique challenges, especially when balancing your grief with the needs of surviving children. This 60-minute workshop, led by a somatic attachment specialist, is designed to provide parents with tools and insights to nurture secure, attuned connections with their surviving children while navigating their own healing journey.
Through an attachment-based lens, this workshop will help you:
-
Understand how grief may impact your relationship with your child and learn strategies to foster emotional connection and security.
-
Explore somatic practices to regulate your nervous system, creating a sense of safety and presence for yourself and your child.
-
Develop tools to support your child’s emotional processing and resilience while honoring your own boundaries and capacity.
-
Learn ways to approach conversations about loss with age-appropriate language and sensitivity.
This supportive, interactive session will offer practical insights, mindfulness-based techniques, and space to reflect on how you can show up for your child(ren) with love, presence, and intention. Together, we’ll explore how to parent with compassion and connection as you navigate life after loss.
